Lee Bunker

April 2, 1925 to June 19, 2007

When Gavin Newsom, mayor of San Francisco, boldly decreed the validity of gay and lesbian marriages, Lee Bunker had been the partner of Bonnie Crosse for 50 years.

Lee was a role model not only as a lesbian, but as a living sober individual who took an interest in and helped many in the sober community, both in San Francisco and in the East Bay.

As a young person, softball was Lee’s special passion.

Clever with her hands, her many vocations included being a Rosie the Riveter and various positions in hardware and sales.

She proudly founded Accents and Art in Oakland, CA (now Accents and Artech).
