As Professor of History at Dartmouth College Marysa is a leading feminist historian on Latin American studies.

Marysa has often been referred to as the mother of Latin American feminism. She is of Basque heritage, and spent a lot of time in Uruguay. She has been prominent in the areas of trafficking, women’s sexuality and human rights, and was Chair of the Board of Catholics for Free Choice.
