Tara Berta

1969 -

Tara Berta got her JD in 1994 from the University of San Francisco, School of Law and passed the California State Bar shortly afterward.

Within a few years, events propelled Tara into the world of domestic violence work.
She has been the Supervising Attorney at the Cooperative Restraining Order Clinic for more than ten years. A tenant of The Women’s Building, the Cooperative Restraining Order Clinic assists survivors of sexual assault, stalking and domestic violence to obtain restraining orders against their abusers.

Tara’s work to make the world a safer place for women keeps her busy at least six days a week, and frequently seven.

When she does get the time to relax, she is fond of spending it in the company of cats.
