Rhythm and Motion Dance Workout
Dancehall is the street dance of Jamaican locals, built on creativity, expression, fun, and the willingness to free yourself and let the music take you away. Class consists of stretching, isolations, conditioning, movement breakdowns, and flavorful choreography drawing from both fundamental old-school and new steps.
Charlotte Nehm received a degree in dance and single subject teaching credential in physical education/dance from San Francisco State University. Charlotte loves sharing her knowledge of both traditional and fusion dance forms with her SFUSD students, and after school and weekend programs including the ISA dance company, Mission Fusion and Village Dancers. She is currently the Assistant Choreographer for Duniya Dance & Drum Company and is in the process of becoming a Katherine Dunham Certified Teacher. She is thrilled and honored to bring her passion for dancehall to the ODC Commons where she is also a Rhythm & Motion instructor.
