Why We Show Up for Housing Justice

The housing crisis is a feminist issue. Women—particularly those from overlooked communities—face systemic barriers to safe, affordable housing. Lower wages, housing discrimination, domestic violence, and caregiving responsibilities make it even harder to secure a home. And now, with recent funding cuts and policies designed to stigmatize, criminalize, and push out our communities, the fight for dignity is more urgent than ever.

Free, Bilingual Housing Assistance
—Start to Finish

At The Women’s Building, we refuse to stand by while our people are displaced. That’s why we offer free, bilingual housing assistance—from navigating the SF DAHLIA Housing Portal to completing applications and gathering documents. Access to safe housing should not depend on income, status, or language. We walk alongside our community every step of the way.

No Barriers.
No Fees.
Just Access.

We provide free, bilingual support to help immigrant women and families apply for affordable housing through San Francisco’s DAHLIA Housing portal. Whether it’s your first time or you're reapplying, our team is here to help—no strings attached.
